Statement
Influenced by notions of abjection and the grotesque body, the possibilities of feminine, cultural and physical transgressions are viewed through acts of the oral, the façade and masquerade in this work.
Often situated within, and around confined, socially inhabited spaces and drawing on personally acceptable parameters of the perceived subversive act, the audience are presented with chance encounters as they watch, negotiate and respond to events of which they become unwilling participants.
